SISTUHS — Brand Identity
01

SISTUHS is a sisterhood and service organization dating to 1992, and its mark needed to celebrate Black womanhood with pride and personality while staying legible on apparel — the primary way members wear the brand. The artwork suggests a membership spanning styles and generations, so a single portrait couldn't carry it alone; the identity needed alternates that feel like sisters of one family, plus room for the 'Service · Scholarship · Sistuhood' pillars and the est. date.

02

The solution is a pair of character lockups. The lead mark is a hand-drawn woman with exuberant curly afro puffs and dramatic lashes, washed in a magenta-to-violet gradient that flows across hair, eyes, and the arched SISTUHS wordmark, grounded by a letterspaced black 'EST. 1992'. Its sister variant is a bold silhouette in a leaf-patterned gold headwrap with silver hoops over an outlined wordmark — same voice, different crown.

03

Delivered a two-variant logo suite in high-resolution PNG exports, with the gradient afro-puff mark as the lead and the gold headwrap silhouette as the official alternate, plus apparel mockups showing both marks printed on t-shirts — including a one-color red treatment of the headwrap variant for merch flexibility.
